Douglas P. Chandler , LCSW, CMHS Doug comes to our center from Children's in Everett as a Pediatric Mental Health Specialist. He brings valuable experience of leadership and professional skills. Doug is located in our Everett facility hosted by Everett First Presbyterian Church. He obtained his degree from the University of Washington , is in private practice and began part-time in Everett in 2003. Doug is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Child Mental Health Specialist, with interest in working with children, youth, adults, couples and families; persons with chronic illness or disabilities. Charline M. Arends, MA, LMFT, CMHS received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Greenville College and her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from George Fox University. Ms. Arends specializes in marriage and family therapy, mood disorders, anxiety and panic, trauma issues, and child and adolescent mood and behavior issues. She is licensed in the State of Washington as a Marriage and Family Therapist and is a Child Mental Health Specialist. Elizabeth Bellmer, MA, LMHC, CCHP, AT, received a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy from Antioch University Seattle. She is a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association, the American Art Therapy Association, and the Academy of Correctional Health Professionals. Elizabeth has expertise in assisting women in their journey through traumatic and challenging times associated with life transitions as well as other women's issues, including depression, anxiety, loss and grief, relationship issues, domestic violence, and medical challenges. Mary Jo Greenway, N.C.C., L.M.H.C. Received her Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling from Arkansas State University, is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a member of the American Counseling Association and American Mental Health Counselors Association. Her clinical interests include, depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, attention disorders, relationship and communication issues, and life transitions. Mary Jo has experience in training foster and adoptive parents before child placement and adds another dimension to the family services that PCS can offer the children, adolescents, individuals and families of our community. John Ortmeyer, Ph.D. Received his doctoral degree from Northwestern University . He is an ordained Methodist minister, a licensed psychologist and a state certified Marriage & Family Therapist. He specializes in couples communication, adolescent issues, blended/step families, individual anxiety and depression issues, group therapy and does some psychological testing and EMDR. Ann M. Uherek, Psy.D. Obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Denver , School of Professional Psychology , with an emphasis in child and family therapy. She completed postdoctoral training in neuropsychology and developmental disabilities at the University of California , Los Angeles . She was the director of the child psychiatry clinic at Children's Bellevue , a program of Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center for the last ten years before joining PCS North. Ann is a licensed psychologist with an interest in working with individuals, couples and families around life transitions and stress management. She has a specialty focus in treatment of children and adolescents and their families, and in psychological assessment of individuals with learning problems. Special Workshops

The following services are offered for persons who need psychological testing to determine diagnosis, level of functioning in academic or work setting, and or recommendations for academic placement or psychiatric or psychological treatment:

       Estimated 10-20 hours, depending on complexity of case and extent of evaluation request.

       Services include: 
Review of all relevant medical, educational, social service and mental health records.
Phone calls to collaterals (e.g., teachers, medical providers, therapist, daycare providers, etc.)
Interview with child/youth and parents/caregivers
Psychological testing, including scoring and interpretation of results
Feedback session with child/youth, parent, and any relevant service providers (typically at the office)
Written report
(optional) Observations in the school setting
(optional) Meeting with school staff, IEP team

                    Cost of evaluation is between $1400 and $3000, depending upon the hours spent in testing and out of office hours in observation and meetings, and the extent of the evaluation.

Rosa Lee Wapstra , RN, MS Received her training as a Marriage and Family Therapist at Presbyterian Counseling Service in Seattle, Washington and graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a Masters in Social and Behavioral Sciences. She is licensed in the State of Washington as a Marriage and Family Therapist and as a Registered Nurse. She is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). Rosa Lee has special interest in working with individuals, couples and/or families dealing with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, chronic illness, and life cycle transitions with particular interest in assisting those who have suffered childhood abuse. Laurence P. Hill, MA, LMHC, CMHS Laurence obtained his Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from the Antioch University of Seattle, after receiving his Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Washington. Laurence is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Child Mental Health Specialist with an interest in working with individuals, groups & families.

Laurence has experience working with children, families, parents and adults employing a blend of Cognitive /Behavioral, Solution Focused, Client Centered, and Collaborative Problem Solving techniques depending on the needs of the individual and family. He provides parenting education and consultations to help parents best meet the needs of their children. He is experienced in working with severely emotionally disturbed children and their caregivers.

Laurence brings his rich and varied life experiences to assist him in creating a safe and nurturing environment in which change and healing may occur and relationships are healed. Anne B. Whitney, MA, MHP, LMHC received her Master's of Arts in Counseling/Psychology from Northwest University and is a licensed Mental Health Counselor. Anne also received her Hypnotherapy Certification from the Wellness Institute and has taught classes ranging from Codependence, Mood and Anger Regulation, Anxiety, DBT, Negotiation Skills, Distorted Thinking, Art Therapy, Grief and Loss. Anne is experienced working with seriously disturbed adolescents as well as adults. Special areas of interest are mind/body/spirit healing, resolving lifetime patterns, bereavement, unplanned pregnancy, spiritual crisis, and emotion regulation. Diane K. Hastings, M.Div, MS, has a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, which she earned at Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, WA in 2004, and a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN in 1983. She is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the State of Washington and an ordained Lutheran minister. She is a member of the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapy and adheres to the AAMFT Code of Ethics. Diane maintains her knowledge and skills by regular attendance at continuing education workshops and classes and in consultation with professionals in her field and related fields and by reading professional literature relevant to her field of practice.
